One of the biggest national chains, Hooters, tackles the task to host their global business conference and international pageant every year. There are many moving parts to ensure this event is a success. Therefore, PHCP was brought on board for event execution, registration coordination, website building, and small activations and dinners throughout the four-day event.
First things first, news needed to spread about the event dates, details and registration, and there’s no better way to do that than with a decked-out website! The PHCP and Hooters teams started to outline content and brainstorm the website’s design theme as early as September 2018. The process included event logo design, content development, Cvent registration page creation, website coding, and more. After details of the event were finalized, the website went live!
This year’s Hooters Conference was held Tuesday, June 18 through Thursday, June 20, 2019 at the Harveys and Harrah’s in Lake Tahoe and hosted about 600 attendees – from Hooters employees to vendors. During this conference, Hooters hosted meetings ranging from business updates to general information. Vendor partners also had the ability to network with both corporate staff and franchise owners.
Amongst the training sessions and meetings typically held during conferences, a fun wing-eating contest was held on Wednesday, June 19, and the competitors were in it to win it! The wing-eating contest winner, Geoffrey Esper, ate a whopping 281 wings in 10 mins!
For Hooters’ best general managers and other employees, the President’s Club was created to reward these individuals with added perks for their hard work. During the Hooters Conference, the PHCP team assisted with details, such as in-room items, throughout the planning and execution to make their experience extra special! .
The 23rd Annual Hooters International Pageant was held on Thursday, June 20 at the Lake Tahoe Outdoor Arena, where Hooters Girls from all over the world competed for the title of Miss Hooters International 2019. After the pageant, special guest performer Lee Brice, sponsored by Milestone Brands, rocked the house!
