Ding ding! It was round three for the PHCP Supplier Showcase and this time we got our glitz and glam on at Landry’s newest hotel, The Post Oak Hotel..
THE NIGHT BEFORE THE SUPPLIER SHOWCASE
Vendors flew into town on Wednesday, August 14 and began setting up their booths a day before the big event. After vendors completed their set up in the event’s new location, The Post Oak Hotel, suppliers, buyers, and PHCP account executives met at the Willie G’s Seafood Restaurant for a kickoff party to the Supplier. When guests arrived, they were greeted by an array of passed hors d'oeuvre and tasty libations!
IT’S SHOWCASE TIME!
Just like last year, the showcase’s schedule included a “Grand Tasting” broken up into two sessions – one in the morning and one in the afternoon, with a catered networking lunch in between. This provided event participants the chance to mingle and establish relationships with key-decision makers for on-premise accounts, as well as the PHCP team. The major difference was that the event was held at The Post Oak Hotel, which was stunning and provided amazing food and drinks. For the debut of Tilman Fertitta’s newest book, Shut Up and Listen, an exclusive booth was set up for guests to purchase their own copy! (You can purchase your copy on Amazon!) Raffle items, donated by participating suppliers, were given out throughout the event as well.
Along with attendance from local businesses, this year’s participation from national accounts significantly grew! Such attendees included The Cheesecake Factory’s Heather Berry, Omni Hotels & Resorts’ Devin Burns, Applebees’ Nathan Grover, Buffalo Wild Wings’ David McPhillips. Bloomin’ Brands’ Jennifer Rubright, Fridays’ Anna Krone, and more!
The event this year was a huge success! Important relationships were established or grown, and suppliers were able to showcase their best and newest innovations in the center stage of the hospitality industry.
