FINN HALL LAUNCHES BEVERAGE PROGRAM AT GRAND OPENING Behind the Bar

Back in June, we gave a little sneak peek of our project with Finn Hall, the newest food hall in Downtown Houston. We crafted this exciting beverage program from scratch. Our vision was to capture the spirit, culture and energy of Houston through an innovative and thoughtfully created cocktail, beer and wine program.

In November, we spent a full day training the bar managers to get them up to speed on how to create Finn Hall’s specialty cocktails, prior to their grand opening. During the training session, they mastered 22 new cocktails and learned more about their local beer program and the wines featured at both concepts. St. Jac’s is a casual bar surrounded by the eateries with a more relaxed, and social setting, and Swallow’s Nest is a more exclusive, mixology-forward bar. Both programs are unique and tailored to the space.

VIP OPENING

On Friday, November 30th, PHCP was invited to Finn Hall’s VIP Opening to preview the delicious food and beverages! During this event, the bartenders executed all cocktails flawlessly, and food samples from each concept were provided. St. Jac’s and Swallow’s Nest are two bars that service all eateries; other concepts include Amaya Coffee, Dish Society (American), Mala Sichuan (Chinese), Craft Burger, Goode Co. Taqueria, Oddball Eats (fun appetizer grub), Yong (Korean bites), Low Tide (Gulf Coast), Mr. Nice Pie (pizza), and Sit Lo (Vietnamese). The food hall offers a little bit of everything to satisfy anyone’s hunger, along with a mix of familiar favorites, and an opportunity for food trucks to test out brick-and-mortar versions of their business!

We spoke with Finn Hall’s Director of Operations, Jeffrey Schwartz, about his thoughts on the food hall’s beverage program and grand opening.

“As I look at our bars every night, I can visually see Finn Hall accomplishing everything we had hoped to with our bar program as I see customers enjoying their drinks,” said Jeffrey. “The drinks perfectly tie in our vision for Finn Hall and for Downtown Houston, and we love seeing how happy our guests are when sitting at our bars!”

As for our services in building their beverage program, Jeffrey was more than pleased! “Working with Patrick Henry was a wonderful experience from start to end, and we are so glad to have engaged them,” Jeffrey stated. “Their team was wonderful to work with, and we have been blown away by their creativity and [detailed] execution.”

“Opening Finn Hall was a very unique challenge, and our beverage program, across 2 bars, was complicated as well but Patrick Henry [Creative Promotions] rose to the occasion and exceeded our expectations!”

If you ever find yourself in Downtown Houston, make sure to stop by Finn Hall and taste some of the best cocktails in town! Our personal favorites and must-try cocktails are: ’45 Southside and Frozen Last Word from St. Jac’s and Finn Old Fashioned and Clutch City Buzz from Swallow’s Nest.

Finn Hall is open 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 7 a.m. to midnight Friday; 8 a.m. to midnight Saturday; and 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday. Cheers!
