FAMILY FUN in OCTOBER at GREAT WOLF LODGE Behind the Bar

You’re in for a real treat all October long at Great Wolf Lodge. Each year, Great Wolf Lodge celebrates Howl-O-Ween – a month-long of festivities meant for adults and their kids to have their most Spooktacular Halloween ever. Each property is fully decorated in all things fall and Halloween such as giant spiders made of balloons, spider webs, carved-out pumpkins, haystacks, spooky wall décor, altars, and more! Also, Great Wolf Lodge has themed activities throughout the month, such as costume parades, Trick-Or-Treat Trails, scary-silly Story Times, and Monster Bash parties!

This year, we wanted to take the Howl-O-Ween festivities to the restaurant. PHCP Mixologist Rebecca Dowda, came up with three delicious beverages for both adults and kids to sip on during their stay at Great Wolf Lodge. The grown-ups can choose from Spooky Mule (made with Jim Beam Apple Whiskey, Cruzan Coconut Rum, agave nectar, grenadine, topped with ginger beer) or Pumpkin Spiked Latte (made with Pinnacle Whipped Vodka, RumChata, iced coffee, and pumpkin), while the kids can happily sip (and munch) on their Bug Guts, a drink made with lemonade, huckleberry, pineapple juice, topped with gummy worms and octopus and served in a take-home orange-to-red color-changing cup! After the drink development, PHCP worked on the next phases:

  • We partnered up with Ralph Smith Studios to produce beautiful images to be used for point-of-sale pieces that will be used across all restaurants
  • Implementation guide for managers that details program information including new products, new equipment, new garnishes, order information, recipe details with key exe
  • Recipe Cards for bartenders to use as a guide to make these delicious beverages

Great Wolf Lodge Howl-O-Ween LTO will launch in all property’s restaurants on September 23, 2019 and will last until November 2, 2019. If you’re looking for a spooky getaway with your family this fall, you know where to go!
